Men's League General Rules and Regulations

1. We will abide by standard Professional Rules and Regulations.

2. All teams will have a (15) fifteen-minute grace period, after the scheduled game time, to field a team before a forfeit will be declared.

3. A team will not be allowed to start a game with fewer than (5) players. There will be no exceptions.

4. Each team will be allowed (10) ten minute warm-up prior to the start of the game. Exception: Game time delays from previous games.

5. Each game will consist of two 20-minute halves with a running clock. The last 2 minutes of the second half will be a stopped clock. The only exception will be in the second half; if a team is leading by 20 points or more the clock will be running.

6. Any overtime period will be a 3-minute, stop clock period with two time outs. One full and one 20 second.

7. Each team will be allowed two 1-minute time-outs per half and one 20-second time out with no carry over from the first half.

8. The NBA lane will be used when shooting free throws. (does not apply to this event)

9. Players lined up on each side of the lane during a fre throw attempt may enter the lane when the ball leaves the shooter's hands.

10. The bonus will start on the 7th team foul. After the 10th team foul, the player will shoot 2 free throws.

11. No jewelry should be worn at any time (gold chains, watches, etc.)

12. Technical fouls on players also count towards the team foul total. All technical fouls will be reported by the calling official to the director of officials. Any coach or player that is ejected from a game due to any type of verbal abuse (i.e. profanity, gestures, protesting, or arguing calls), will be suspended from the next game. Any coach or player that is ejected from a game for physical nature (i.e. fighting, pushing, intentional contact), will be suspended for next (2) two games.

13. If a coach or player has been suspended, whether for one game or two, that particular individual will not be allowed into the playing area during their suspension. The coach or player can remain in the lobby area of the Academy during the game.

14. Coaches must remain in their bench area at all times, and this does not mean the playing floor in front of their bench. Coaches can stand in their respective bench areas, in the area of the 28-foot hash mark to the baseline only. This will allow the scorers and timers to see the ball game without being hindered by the coaches. Coaches can come onto the playing floor if summoned onto the floor by an official.

15. Players must be 18 years or older.

16. Teams may provide an alternate player substitution list. In the event that a primary player on the roster is unable to perform due to injury, teams may choose a player from the substitution list to participate. Substitution list must be returned with team registration forms.
